Responding to COVID-19
We understand the importance of our ability to support our customers through these challenging times. We continue to monitor the daily and hourly developments around the spread of COVID19, and we are committed to ensuring the safety and health of both of our employees and our business partners.
Our leadership team is meeting daily to evaluate the conditions in our community and we are following the guidance of our owners, union partners, trade associations, and governments both federal and local. We have implemented Phase 1 of our Response Plan to ensure all associates are safe and that our business remains open. AccuTemp Mechanical provides trusted solutions for critical environments, the critical environments of our customers, and, as a result, we are committed to keeping our business operational throughout the crisis so our customers can do the same.
All employees at AccuTemp Mechanical are permitted to work from home as needed or desired and business travel has been put on hold. We have provided specific guidance on how to reduce the risk of contracting the virus and requested our employees avoid nonessential personal travel, especially to areas where the probability of exposure to the virus may be higher. We will ask employees who do choose to travel to self-quarantine as necessary upon return.
We are also continually providing education and resources on proper methods to avoid contracting and transmitting the infection. This includes daily calls and supply of materials such as masks, wipes, sanitizer, and gloves. Additionally, we are providing tools for all office and support associates to work remotely to ensure uninterrupted business operations. Should an office associate or technician contract the virus or experience direct exposure to someone who has, we plan to follow a specific protocol which includes communicating the incident to all parties associated, temporary closing of the office environment immediately, quarantining the individual or individuals involved and then deep cleaning the facility before reopening.

To meet that responsibility, we depend on the talented leaders and associates throughout our organization to act vigilantly and proactively. We will spare no expense to ensure both their and our customers’ safety, health, and security.

Many of our customers operate in critical environments that require service regularly, and it’s critical that we continue to provide them with reliable service so they can continue their essential operations.
What steps have you taken to ensure your employees aren't spreading COVID-19?
We have always valued in safety first, and we are adjusting our framing of safety admin the COVID-19 outbreak. All of our employees are encouraged to stay at home if they are not feeling well and to maintain safe social distancing with others. Additionally, our technicians are equipped with even greater PPE than usual — including but not limited to masks, face shields, gloves, and full-body suits.
Is there anything more we can do to safeguard our facility?
Facilities looking to maintain the highest level of clean air are seeking out HVAC services and equipment. To those customers, we are suggesting filter changes with high-efficiency pleated filters, disinfecting evaporator and heating coils, and installing UV lights in the supply duct to eliminate bacteria in the air.
